Two dear friends and sisters in Christ, sharing devotions each week, obeyed the call in March 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, to impact lives through word and art. From this Great Women in the Bible was birthed, and has grown into this amazing ministry, Ministry of Divine Women. Here is a little more on these two servants of Christ.

In 2016 I got baptized, and then my life completely changed! People and things came into my life. Blessings and more blessings; it wasn’t always easy, but I could see what God was doing; preparing me for what was to come.
Through volunteering for a Christian organization, I met my sister in Christ Sherridean, and our spirits connected in the most amazing way. Our love of God, passion for people, (particularly girls and women and their development) propelled our friendship, and here we are now with this ministry, for others to enjoy and to gain encouragement.
Life will have many twists and turns, ups and downs, high and lows, but as one of my favourite scripture’s states “We can do all things through Christ that strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
My first passion is youth, and specifically young women. This passion led me to undertake my undergraduate Degree in Youth & Community Development. I then went on to complete my Masters in Law, with a speciality in women. I have a Postgraduate Degree in Management, Postgraduate Teaching Certificate and I am currently undertaking my PhD in Gender and Development. In addition, I am a qualified personal coach, and specialize in personal development coaching. My areas of training expertise are, Leadership and Management, Supervisory skills for First Time Leaders, Leadership for young people and women, and Small Business Development. I have recently developed a passion for the unifying of families.

One of life’s tragedies in 2011 became my turning point and motivation. I realize I had the opportunity to learn to celebrate life, and have hope in whatever I do.
My passion has always been for the youths, to know God intimately and to develop my giftings in art, music and word for the sake of being a blessing to the body of Christ. Little did I know that my desire would have led me to pursue studies at art college, then university with distinction and theology at bible school. From then on I was ordained to be a minister, worship leader and I occupied leadership roles where I was elected district youth vice president and later district youth president over twelve churches. From 2008 I was guest speaker for graduations, panel events and church ministries. The Lord extended his grace in my profession as well where I head of art & music. In the arts I have been a visual arts facilitator for a counseling firm, a teacher evaluator at teacher’s training college. During the pandemic with all the mental health issues revealing itself I went on to become a therapeutic life coach. My life took on a dramatic change from 2011 to now.
Change is impossible without the help of God, and good support.I’m eternally grateful for the wonderful people who have impacted my life. I must pause here to thank God for the amazing connection and friendship with Colleen. It’s truly wonderful that our passion for Christ and service led us in agreement to invite the Holy Spirit to draw women into a deeper revelation of excellence and greatness in every sphere of life. Our book and ministry have certainly been a high point of creative and divine expression for touching lives in a meaningful way. It challenged me to grow in grace, and fine tuned ways to apply the knowledge of God and to embrace that Deborah approach to life and ministry.
So, we pray you feel empowered to believe in yourself and what God is doing in your life. We also pray that we will be able to assist you in the most important thing; developing a stronger relationship with God.
God bless you abundantly and always!
Sherridean
